Your Loan Helps Build a Home

Your Loan Helps Build a Home

Every loan we settle helps build a home for another family

The reason we enjoy what we do for a living, is due to the fact that we are helping everyday Australians achieve their dream of home ownership.

Last year we started asking ourselves a simple question.

If our business revolves around helping people get into homes, could we help families who live in very insecure living conditions?

It started with one family’s plight that was brought to our attention by a team member living in the Philippines. We raised the money and with a team on the ground a house was purchased and installed (see below). It was amazing to see the entire local community come together and help install the home, purchase furniture and clothing for the family and present it to them. This is really life changing and has a ripple effect not only locally but over here as well. We were contacted by our friends at www.money.com.au (one of the original donors) who asked a simple question, “Whats next?”

Today, the first month’s trail commission from every loan we settle, goes towards building homes for families in need in the Philippines.

Creating a better life

Why we started

At Soren Financial, we’re fortunate to spend every day helping Australians buy property, refinance debt and build wealth through real estate.

Housing changes lives, anyone who has gone from renting to owning to then building equity understands this. Equity can then is used to create wealth either through starting/building a business or investing. However in countries like the Philippines, they don’t care about any of that, all most people want is security and certainty. It gives families a place to put down roots and plan for the future and it’s something many of us take for granted.

How it works

The process is simple. When you obtain a loan through Soren Financial.

Your loan settles.

We receive commission from the lender, as mortgage brokers normally do. Instead of keeping the first month’s trail commission, we put it towards funding the construction of homes in the Philippines.

On average, that’s around $100 per loan.

You don’t pay any additional fees.

Nothing changes about your loan.

The contribution comes directly from us.

The homes

In Q1 of 2026, we completed funding for our first home.

It’s only one house.

We’re not pretending it changes the world.

But it changed the world for one family.

That’s enough reason to keep going.

We’ll continue sharing photos, videos and updates from each project so our clients can see exactly where the money is going and what has been built.

Your broker and lender will ask you to provide a range of personal, financial and property documents as part of the commercial loan application process.

Where we want to take this

We’re at the very beginning.

Our goal for the remainder of 2026 is to help fund one home every quarter.

By next year, we’d like to be in a position where we’re helping fund one home every month.

Whether we get there depends entirely on how many clients choose to work with us.

The more loans we settle, the more homes we can help build.

It’s that simple.

Questions we get asked

Does this cost me anything?

No. The money comes from Soren Financial’s revenue, not from our clients.

How much is contributed?

The first month’s trail commission from each settled loan. On average, this works out to around $100 per loan.

Why the Philippines?

We have connections on the ground that allow us to see where the money is going and follow each project through to completion.

That transparency is important to us.

Can I see the homes being built?

Absolutely. We’ll continue sharing photos, videos and updates as new homes are completed.

More Than a Home Loan

Most people choose a mortgage broker because they want good advice, access to lenders and someone to guide them through the process.

That’s exactly what we provide.

The fact that your loan also helps put a roof over another family’s head is simply a bonus.

If you’re thinking about buying, refinancing or investing, we’d love the opportunity to help.

And if we can help another family along the way, even better.
